About the Event

The Konark Sun Temple is a 13th-century Hindu temple dedicated to the Sun God. Shaped like a giant chariot, the temple is known for the exquisite stone carvings that cover the entire structure. It is the best-known tourist destination in Orissa and has been a World Heritage Site since 1984 Being a coastal destination, the weather in Konark is the most pleasant during winters. ABOUT PROGRAMME: Konark Art Festival is all about Art Activities at serene beauty of Chandrabhaga Beach side camp site.

DURATION: 10 days WHO CAN APPLY: Painters,Photographers, site specific Art and Sand Artists are invited to create their own conceptual Art without any subject restrictions. main aim of this Residency is exchange of ideas between artists, to know local art,culture and expanding artistic network. FEES: USD 800/- which include Accommodation, 3 Meals, local sight seeing, Konark Temple visit.

Participant will get Certificate, Media Coverage on local news paper/TV channel and on social Media. Puri Railway Station is the nearest railway station from the Konark Temple. It is 30 km from Konark. You can book Bhubaneswar to Puri trains and then take a taxi to reach the temple. Nearest Airport: Biju Patnaik International Airport (BBI) - 49 kms from Konark
